Thanks for dropping by. Here’s my motivation for this site. This is what drives me.

I’m constantly struck by the levels of depression, anxiety, and addiction in the seemingly prosperous West. Something’s not right.

But I believe in the Logos too - the Divine Word - and the great writers (Dante, Lewis, Eliot, Yeats, etc.) who shine the light of that Word into the dark places of our lives.

Stories, myths and poems heal, redeem and transfigure, guiding us out of Plato’s Cave and into the light of the Sun.

That’s what Secret Fire’s about - raising the levels and upping the light ☀️
